Lasagne

For a dinner with friends. Lasagne is really easy – once you have the bolognese and béchamel, it’s really just assemblage. I flavoured the béchamel with onion, bay, nutmeg and pepper… And used the bolognese that I made the other day.

Spaghetti carbonara with rocket

I used ham instead of bacon, because that’s what we had handy. The secret to making a good carbonara is to make up the egg/cheese/bacon mix (I add some cooked onion, garlic and parsley) and pour it over the cooked pasta in a frying pan – otherwise you just get dry pasta and scrambled egg.
